Joliet Admirals coughs up lead, the Southland Vikings win 11-7

With the score tied at six in the sixth inning, Austin Blazevic came to the plate and singled, plating Raphe Gross.

Gross racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Southland Vikings. He singled in the first and sixth innings.

Matt Flummerfeld did his best to jumpstart the offense for Joliet Admirals, reaching base three times. He doubled in the ninth inning.

Seth Rosenberg looked sharp on the bump. Rosenberg gave up just two hits, allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out four during his four innings of work.

Jack Howard was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked two and struck out one.

The Southland Vikings got the win even though Brock Crews didn't last long on the hill. Crews was replaced after one inning. Crews gave up four hits and four runs.

Joliet Admirals jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the top of the first. Joliet Admirals' rally started when Cody Grosse singled. A stolen base then moved Grosse from first to second. More runs came home for Joliet Admirals when Brundage scored on an RBI single by Satchel Daleo, Miller scored on an RBI single by Rob Talarico, and Daleo scored on an RBI double by Brendan Krob.

Joliet Admirals scored one run in the fourth inning, and then followed it up with one more in the ninth. In the fourth, Joliet Admirals scored on an error, bringing home Brendan Brundage.

The sixth spelled defeat for Joliet Admirals, as the Southland Vikings grabbed the lead for good. More runners rounded the bases on a sacrifice fly by Nick Wheeler and two singles.

The Southland Vikings built upon their lead with four runs in the seventh. The inning got off to a hot start when Tyler Crussen singled, bringing home Hunter Thorn and Austin Lorenz.
