Hounds Rally To Defeat Vikings

After five lead changes in Sunday's game at Hap Bruno Field, DuPage County Hounds finally pulled out a 6-2 win over the Southland Vikings.

DuPage County Hounds pulled out the win thanks to a strong ninth inning. A groundout by Bobby Wenthe scored Ryan Fitzgerald and gave DuPage County Hounds the lead for good.

It was a good day at the plate for DuPage County Hounds 's Emerson Misch. Misch went 2-3 and scored two runs. He singled in the third and sixth innings. Kyle Sabie got the win in relief for DuPage County Hounds . Sabie pitched 3 1/3 innings and allowed one run.

Robert Nunn was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run. The bottom of the third saw the Southland Vikings take an early lead, 1-0. Jeff Cardenas singled to start things off before Chris Pikoulas singled, plating Cardenas.

The Southland Vikings tied the game in the eighth on an RBI double by Jacob Lane that scored Jesse Forestell.
