Bloomington Bobcats Falls To Southland Vikings In Low-Scoring Affair

Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound on Tuesday, but Southland Vikings was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Bloomington Bobcats on Tuesday. Cedric Gerard started the game for Bloomington Bobcats and recorded 18 outs.

In the second inning, Southland Vikings got their offense started. Jon Jungr drove in one when he doubled. In the bottom of the second inning, Bloomington Bobcats tied things up at one. Levi Ransom hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run.

Southland Vikings pulled away for good with two runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Andy Lopez homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Anthony Rogers pitched Southland Vikings to victory.

He went eight innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out six. Mike Rios threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Rios recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Southland Vikings. Gerard took the loss for Bloomington Bobcats.

He surrendered three runs on five hits over six innings, striking out three. Peyton Dillingham, Nick Zouras, Dalton Fletcher, and Billy Mote each collected one hit to lead Bloomington Bobcats. Southland Vikings had six hits in the game.

Dylan Smith and Jungr all collected multiple hits for Southland Vikings.
